Flute/guitar, flute/piano, organ, guitar/vocalist, piano/jazz singer, upright bass/piano/jazz singer, classical guitar, classical string trio/quartet...it goes on and on...African drum circle... Cocktail Hour The cocktail hour is designed to be a smooth transition from the ceremony to the reception. This is an important part of the affair, because it allows your guests time to walk around and mingle before they enter the Grand Ballroom to find their seats. Sometimes it's when friends and relatives see each other for the first time in years, so the volume and energy level of the music will be appropriate for conversation. For the perfect sizzling starter of an exciting party we have a variety of warm, uplifting, and jazzy musical combinations . Reception Introducing Your Wedding Party Timing is everything. The band can play a soft funky groove or a simmering little jazz number while your guests are entering the reception area. Once we get the ok (the wink) from the maitre 'd that you are ready to enter the room, our experienced Master of Ceremonies will introduce you and the members of your wedding party in any manner that you choose. We have a variety of fanfare style music 'snippets' to accompany each member of your party as they make their way to the center of the dance floor. Your Grand Entrance – drum roll please! This is your big moment, so we want your entrance to be exactly as you like it. We will certainly help you by sharing some commonly used introductions, and we will go over the different tunes that can accompany the two of you as you enter the hall. --- You may choose to skip the intros completely and enter the ballroom quietly with your family and friends. It is entirely up to you. Your First Dance Your first dance is usually after your entrance and right before the first course, but you may have it later if you wish. We have a long list of great first dance songs for you to choose from. If we don't know it, just give us the title and the composer's name. We will learn it, and play it just like the record. Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dance We will learn any songs that are special to you. Just give us the title and composer, and we take care of the rest. Traditionally, these special dances come right after the main course, but we can play them at any part of the evening that you wish. Our M.C. will invite you to the floor, announce your song selection, and the band will play the tune. You may have the entire song to yourselves, or we can invite all of your guests to join you on the dance floor. Speeches/Toasts/Introductions We are fully equipped with top of the line cordless microphones, so your voices will be perfectly clear, and your toasts may be given from anywhere in the room. We will kindly get the attention of your guests, introduce your speaker, and hand over the mic. After the toast has been made the band will return to playing dinner or dance music. If you have more than one toast at a time the band will play soft music between introductions. –There will never be a time when the room is dead silent. Traditional/Religious Dances We have all of the most popular Italian, Greek, and Jewish pieces authentically arranged for vocals and horns. Dinner Music During meals while your guests are seated we like to perform some popular ballads to showcase each of our talented vocalists. This is a great way to create a relaxed dining atmosphere while providing you, your family, and your friends with top-notch live entertainment. Our sound is always crystal clear and never too loud. This is the biggest celebration of our lives, all of our family and friends are here, and we want to DANCE! This is the fun part. AboutRhythm is the most enthusiastic and talented group of young musicians anywhere in the tri-state area. Of course we play music of all styles to accommodate all of your guests …please see our song list, but we have become known for being a little bit funkier and more up to date than other wedding bands. Our sound is hotter, our groove is deaper, and our show is more exciting. We know you came to party, and we will have you and your friends dancing hard and feeling great the entire evening. Technical Details Details such as load in, parking, electrical requirements, staging, lighting, and sound are all discussed weeks in advance with the catering hall to make sure everything is perfect.
